Atomic Learning provides tutorial movie "atoms," with narration played  over the Internet.  A subscription of 49$ gives you access  for one year (over 4500 tutorial movies), including all content added each month. Topics include major software applications for Windows and Mac software.

The eLearning Guild is a community of  designers, developers, and managers of e-Learning. This member driven community provides  learning opportunities, networking services, resources, and publications.  Community members  represent a diverse group of instructional designers, content developers, web developers, project managers, contractors, consultants, and managers and directors of training and learning services who work in corporate, government, and academic organizations. Their web site includes extensive resources for members and non-members.

Support Tools

TaskStream

TaskStream is a versatile web-based tools for educators to design lessons and units, map and track standards, create rubrics, develop electronic portfolios and  web pages, and compile and distribute shared curriculum resource collections. Its portfolio tool is could be adapted to structure and manage a local online professional development program. Taskstream is a subscription product hosted by Taskstream. The cost is $100 with group discount pricing.

MyLearningPlan

MyLearningPlan is a web-based service for tracking Professional Development activities for k-12 school districts.

Chalk and Wire

Chalk and Wire is a Canadian company that has developed four low cost easy to use tools for managing professional development.  ePortfolio provides authoring and hosting of professional web-based portfolios. ROAD Learning is a design, presentation and tracking of on-line learning. PDReport  monitors delivery and impact research of professional development. PLPlan is a suite planning tools for action research on-line course registration personalized support, tracking and reporting.

EFolio

Avenet provides online portfolio management system. Minnesota is currently using this engine for its statewide online portfolio system. This enables students, and educators to organize, manage and display academic and career information to enhance education, promote achievement and advance careers.

ASAP: Accelerated School Administrator Program

The Accelerated School Administrator Program (ASAP) provides individualized professional development that prepares school administrators and teachers to be effective leaders and educators. Tools include learning modules, ePortfolio and eLibrary of resources.
